Positive Impact on Cancer
Mind-Body Processes

Cognitive Cell Re-Coding
CCRC (Cognitive Cell ReCoding) is a mind-body intervention model developed by Dr. Shirley Shapira, a senior hematologist.
The model is based on the observed similarities between subconscious processes and cancer biology. It was tested in clinical trials involving patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who were in the "watch and wait" phase, meaning they were not yet receiving treatment for their condition.
The results showed that the lymphocyte doubling time (the rate at which cancer cells multiply in CLL) was improved by more than 50% compared to the period before the intervention and to a control group. This is the first published evidence showing that a mind-body intervention can independently influence the progression of a malignant disease.
The CCRC center now offers courses for patients outside clinical trials and training programs for therapists.
The Model's Layers
Cognitive-Behavioral
Adopting a lifestyle that supports the nervous system in a relaxed state (parasympathetic)
Psychological
Re-coding subconscious beliefs
Spiritual
Connecting to the non-physical aspects of our existence
We want to thank our partners in action and on this journey – to the patients, therapists, medical institutions, patient associations, donors, and friends – who continue to believe, support, and re-code with us.
Dr. Shirley Shapira
Dr. Shirley Shapira is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Hematology, with a focus on blood diseases, particularly blood and lymphatic cancers. She graduated from the Technion School of Medicine in 1992 and currently serves as a senior physician at Meir Hospital and Maccabi Healthcare Services. In addition, she acts as a Hematology consultant for Maccabi's headquarters.
In late 2017, Dr. Shapira began exploring the profound connection between the body and mind in cancer, gradually developing the Cognitive Cell ReCoding (CCRC) model. This model seeks to reprogram cancer cells using the power of consciousness. Since 2018, she has been leading pioneering research on the effects of CCRC-based consciousness processes on cancer progression. Her work has garnered recognition within the medical community, with presentations at professional conferences and publications in medical journals.
